Turkish, Vietnam airlines sign agreement to grow collaboration

(MENAFN) The Turkish and Vietnamese flag carriers on Tuesday inked a memorandum of understanding to reinforce joint collaboration in passengers and cargo transportation.

As mentioned in a statement, Turkish Airlines and Vietnam Airlines are going to cooperate on the carriage of travelers and cargo, sideways with studying the chance for passenger codeshare collaboration on flight paths among Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City with Istanbul, Turkey’s commercial capital.

It stated that "Through this cooperation, customers will have more choices of new destinations on both airlines’ networks."

It went further on that the two are going to operate more carefully in the field of cargo transportation over the execution of a codeshare partnership, likely to make impact starting in 2023.

Levent Konukcu, Turkish Airlines’ head investment and technology officer stated that "Recovering from the crisis the pandemic brought to (the) aviation sector, we all became aware of the crucial need for cooperation. We attach importance to expanding our cooperation with Vietnam Airlines both in passenger and cargo."

Le Hong Ha, leader & chief executive of Vietnam Airlines, stated in the announcement that "The cooperation between the two flag carriers will bring great benefits to our passengers, promote aviation connectivity, economic and cultural exchanges among Vietnam, Türkiye, Europe and Middle East region."
