Iran’s shipment to Turkmenistan surges 38 percent in Q1
(MENAFN) The worth of Iran’s shipment to Turkmenistan rose 38 percent in the first 3 months of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (March 21-June 21), compared to the same period of the last year, the representative of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) declared.
Ruhollah Latifi stated that Iran shipped commodities valued at USD95 million to Turkmenistan in the first quarter period.
In mid-June a high-ranking Turkmen representative directed by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Atdayev Batyr Taganovich joined a conference with Iranian Industry, Mining, and Trade Minister Reza Fatemi-Amin to talk about methods of growing exchange relations.
In that conference the two parties highlighted the necessity for the launch of a Tehran-Ashgabat exchange center.
The attendees also underlined backing the businessmen of the two nations with the aim of easing and accelerating trade ties and decided to establish a working group to draw a one-year roadmap for future collaboration.
Greeting the Turkmen side’s offer for forming a mutual business center, Fatemi-Amin stated that "We have established business centers in 16 countries and this is a good way to expand economic relations."
