In mid-June a high-ranking Turkmen representative directed by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Atdayev Batyr Taganovich joined a conference with Iranian Industry, Mining, and Trade Minister Reza Fatemi-Amin to talk about methods of growing exchange relations.

In that conference the two parties highlighted the necessity for the launch of a Tehran-Ashgabat exchange center.

The attendees also underlined backing the businessmen of the two nations with the aim of easing and accelerating trade ties and decided to establish a working group to draw a one-year roadmap for future collaboration.

Greeting the Turkmen side’s offer for forming a mutual business center, Fatemi-Amin stated that "We have established business centers in 16 countries and this is a good way to expand economic relations."
