Etihad Airways postpones flights to London

(MENAFN) Etihad Airways has temporarily postponed some of its flights to London as a result of Heathrow Airport capping the figure of leaving travelers to control travel disturbance.

The Abu Dhabi-based national airline noted the new departure schedule would be valid as of Wednesday, and the airline is contacting travelers to notify them regarding the new timetables.

“Etihad has had to make a schedule adjustment to temporarily re-time flights EY25/EY26 between Abu Dhabi and London to an earlier departure from 27 July to 11 September. Our teams are proactively reaching out to notify passengers ticketed on these flights of the new departure times,” the airline’s spokesperson stated to Khaleej Times on Monday.

On July 12, Heathrow Airport capped the figure of departing travelers at 100,000 a day and requested airlines to halt selling new tickets to stop the effect on travelers.
