    Number of agreements worth USD3.7B between Saudi Arabia, Greece

    (MENAFN) At a special Forum on Wednesday, ministers from Saudi Arabia and Greece met with top business executives to discuss ways to improve economic and investment cooperation between the two nations.

    At the conference, there were talks about logistics, transportation, energy, and communications. There was also a signing ceremony for a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding worth about SR14 billion (USD3.7 billion).

    The Saudi-Greek Investment Forum, according to Saudi Arabia's Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih, are going to improve the two nations' bilateral economic ties.

    Al-Falih claimed in a tweet, “for everything that we do to advance our relations are about this — whether in the form of a fiber optic data cable, electricity, culture, shipping or people to people contacts. We are truly at a historical inflection point in our bilateral economic relations.”

    According to Saudi Minister of Communications Abdullah Al-Sawaha, the Kingdom secured a deal with Greece to extend an undersea cable during the investment summit to assist the country become a "major player " in the digital economy.
