    Ship delivering basic commodities enters Iranian ports daily since late March

    (MENAFN) Since the start of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (March 21), each day, a ship delivering basic commodities has entered the ports of the south and north of the nation and the loads of these vessels have been sent to storing hubs after delivery, Government Trading Corporation (GTC) declared.

    The basic commodities shipped into the nation comprise of wheat, rice as well as oil, which are bought and imported from foreign sources to supply the nation’s planned reserves, provide to intake centers, and regulate the market.

    Since the start of this year, over 3,602,000 tons of these items have been imported into the nation via southern and northern ports, and right now, the loads of numerous vessels carrying necessary goods that have lately docked in the nation's ports are also being delivered, the GTC announced.

    As earlier declared by the deputy chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran has shipped in 30.9 million tons of basic goods in the last Iranian calendar year 1400 (ended on March 20).
