    Iran’s Inflation level surges 1 percent

    (MENAFN) The Statistical Center of Iran (SCI) has put the average inflation level in the twelve-month span of time ended on August 22, which indicates the end of the fifth Iranian calendar month Mordad, at 41.5 percent, increasing one percent from the number for the twelve-month closed to the fourth month.

    The center put the nation’s point-to-point inflation level at 52.2 percent in the fifth month, which means households have paid an average of 52.2 percent higher for buying the same package of commodities and services in that month, in comparison with the same month in the prior year.

    The inflation level stood at 40.9 percent for the urban households, increasing 0.9 percent from the last month, as well as 44.4 percent for the country households, surging 1.2 percent from the prior month.

    The Statistical Center of Iran has put the average inflation level in the twelve-month span of time ended on March 20, which indicates the end of the past Iranian calendar year 1400, at 40.2 percent.
