Applications to Emirates Aviation University doubles as aviation sector hiring at peak
(MENAFN) Submissions to the Emirates Aviation University have nearly surged by 100 percent to the pre-epidemic rates as employments in the aviation area has hit a record peak.
"The shortage of skilled staff in the aviation industry has created huge opportunities for employment," according to Dr Ahmad Al Ali, Vice Chancellor of Emirates Aviation Industry (EAU).
This year, EAU has established nearly 3,000 candidates – almost double the figure of submissions it had for the 2019- 2020 academic year- for its numerous student program.
Dr Al Ali stated that there are many motives why Dubai is witnessing such a huge request for aviation courses.
He stated that “Whenever there is a downturn, the aviation industry is one of the first to experience a rebound.”
He went further on, “Given that the UAE, and particularly in Dubai, is such a hub with four major airlines, it is only natural that more people want to study aviation.”
