Turkish fighter drone Bayraktar TB2 rises its export destinations to 24 nations
(MENAFN) The amount of nations where Turkish fighter drone Bayraktar TB2 is being shipped to has surged to 24 countries.
Haluk Bayraktar, chief executive of Baykar, the drone producer, informed Anadolu Agency that the share of shipments in the nation’s profits for 2022 has amounted to 98 percent.
Stating on the sidelines of Turkey’s biggest technology event Teknofest being hosted in the Black Sea region of Samsun, he stated that Bayraktar TB2 has become the highest shipped fighter drone in the across the world.
The company has inked shipment deal with four nations for additional drone as well, Bayraktar Akinci, he also stated.
Up to now, over 400 Bayraktar TB2 as well as 20 Bayraktar Akinci have been outputted, he declared.
The company has a yearly volume to produce 200 Bayraktar TB2, he added.
But there are tactics to increase output in 2023 to 500 Bayraktar TB2 and 40 Bayraktar Akinci, the chief executive mentioned.
He stated that "We are trying to increase the production capacity by making huge investments every year."
