    IME records USD485M value of commodities exchanged in one week

    (MENAFN) Throughout the last Iranian calendar week (ended on Friday), 2.056 million tons of commodities valued at over USD485 million were exchanged at Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME).

    As mentioned in a report by the IME’s Public Relations and International Affairs Department, the exchange sold on its metals and minerals trading floor 1.669 million tons of commodities worth nearly USD279 million.

    Commodities traded on this floor contained 1,035,636 tons of cement, 270,000 tons of iron ore, 268,573 tons of steel, 76,000 tons of sponge iron, 8,875 tons of zinc, 5,850 tons of aluminum, 4,570 tons of copper, 200 tons of molybdenum concentrate, 39 tons of precious metals concentrate, 27 kg of gold bars as well as 481 Haima SUV automobiles.

    Additionally, the IME witnessed on both local and shipment pits of its oil and petrochemical exchange floor 384,905 tons of commodities valued at almost USD204 million.

    The IME's customers bought on this floor 93,000 tons of vacuum bottom, 92,276 tons of polymeric outputs, 38,000 tons of lube cut, 34,058 tons of chemicals, 11,700 tons of sulfur, 3,948 tons of base oil, 340 tons of insulation in addition to 110,295 tons of bitumen.
