    Iran hosts educational conference with Japan in Tehran around Net Zero Emissions

    (MENAFN) An educational conference under the name of "Introduction of Japan's policies in using hydrogen and ammonia to achieve zero carbon emissions by 2050" was hosted in Tehran on Tuesday, as reported by Shana.

    In line with National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), the conference was joined by senior administrators from both nations such as NIOC’s Chief of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Abbas Razmi, in addition to Chief of Economic Department at Japanese Embassy in Iran Kida Yuka, and Masashi Watanabe, manager for Fuel Ammonia, Petroleum and LNG Policy at Japanese Economy, Trade and Industry Ministry’s Agency for Natural Resource and Energy.

    At the start of the conference, the NIOC HSE director highlighted the importance of handling flare gas emissions and growing awareness around the additional ways of eliminating greenhouse gas emissions as well as their application in Iran’s oil and gas industry, stating that “The main goal of this seminar is to reduce greenhouse emissions.”
