Turkey’s share exchange closes Wednesday’s session with new all-time peak

(MENAFN) Turkey’s main share index ended at a fresh record peak of 3,402.81 points on Wednesday.

After opening the day at 3,404.1 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index surged 11.43 points, or 0.34 percent, from Tuesday’s end.

The index’s worst worth throughout the day stood at 3,338.13 points, whereas its day-to-day peak stood at 3,424.37, with a day-to-day exchange capacity of 99.4 billion Turkish liras (USD5.4 billion).

An ounce of gold exchanged for USD1,695 by market end, as shown by figures from Borsa Istanbul’s Precious Metals and Diamond Market.

The price of Brent crude oil dropped to USD89.30 a barrel at 6.40 PM regional time (1640GMT), decreasing from 3.8 percent as worries of a worldwide financial recession and current lockdowns in China pressured on market sentiment, heightening request worries.

American main West Texas Intermediate (WTI) stood at USD88.56 a barrel at the same time for a 1.94 percent surge following the prior session ended at USD86.87 per barrel.
