    Iran’s exchange with SCO nations surges 31 percent in 5 months

    (MENAFN) The worth of Iran’s non-oil exchange with member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has surged by 31 percent in the opening five months of the present Iranian calendar year (March 21-August 22), as stated by the representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

    Ruhollah Latifi stated that the nation has exchanged 21.415 million tons of non-oil goods valued at USD17.056 billion with the 11 member states of SCO in the stated five months, according to IRNA report.

    Iran has shipped 17.381 million tons of goods valued at USD9.078 billion to the SCO members in this span of time, recording a 10 percent rise in comparison with the same months past year.

    Additionally, the Islamic Republic shipped in 4.034 million tons of goods valued at USD7.978 billion from the stated nations in the mentioned five months, signifying a 68 percent jump in comparison with past year’s same period.

    Between SCO members, China was Iran’s highest shipment destination in the stated period trailed by India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, as well as Mongolia.
