    Shipment form Iran’s Golestan province surges 50 percent in first 5 months

    (MENAFN) The worth of shipment from Golestan district, in the northeast of Iran, surged 50 percent in the opening five months of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (March 21-August 22), in comparison to the same span of time in the last year, a provincial official declared.

    Ebrahim Hosseini, the director-general of the province’s customs department, stated that commodities valued at USD85 million were shipped from the province in the stated five-month span of time.

    He mentioned that polystyrene, cheese, dates, aquatic food, metal structures and milk powder as the major shipped items, and stated that the outputs were shipped to 89 nations between them Turkmenistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, as well as Kazakhstan were the major shipment destinations.

    The official also declared that commodities valued at USD15 million were shipped in to the district in the stated five months of the current year, indicating a 9 percent drop annually.

    Output line machinery and raw materials were the most shipped in items, he stated.

    As earlier declared by the official, the amount of shipment from Golestan surged 58 percent in the opening 3 months of the current year, in comparison with the same period of the last year.
