Qatar’s building licenses released by municipalities surges 43 percent in August
(MENAFN) The amount of building licenses released by several municipalities in Qatar registered a noteworthy surge of 43 percent in August this year, amount to 784 permits, in comparison with 550 licenses recorded in the month before, as shown by a report issued by the Planning and Statistics Authority on Saturday.
The report showed in details that every municipality in the nation registered an important rise in the amount of building license throughout August, most remarkably Al Shamal municipality, which registered a noteworthy jump by 275 percent, trailed by the municipalities of Al Daayen (98 percent), then Al Shihaniya (47 percent), Al Rayyan (39 percent), Umm Salal (37 percent), Doha (32 percent), Al Wakrah (31 percent), and lastly Al Khor (13 percent).
In line with its geographical delivery, Al Rayyan municipality was at the top of the list in terms of the amount of building license released; it released 205 licenses, constituting in 26 percent of the overall licenses released, whereas Doha municipality came in second spot with 182 licenses, or 23 percent, shadowed by Al Wakra municipality, where it released 176 licenses, or 22 percent, and then Al Daayen municipality with 121 licenses, 15 percent, whereas the remainder of the licenses were issued to Umm Salal, 37 licenses, 5 percent, Al Khor, 26 licenses, 3 percent, Al Shihaniya, 22 licenses, 3 percent, in addition to Al Shamal at 15.2 percent.
