Turkey’s Borsa Istanbul opens Monday’s session on higher note
(MENAFN) Turkey’s main share index started the week at 3,585.63 points on Monday, surging by 1.82 percent, or 64.24 points, from the prior end.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was 2.44 percent higher to finish the last week at a peak high end of 3,521.38 points with a day to day exchange capacity of 100 billion Turkish liras (USD5.5 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira selling price fell to 18.2320 at 10.12 AM regional time (0712GMT), against 18.2410 at the prior end.
The euro/Turkish lira selling price surged to 18.5560 from 18.3120, whereas a British pound exchanged for 21.3130 Turkish liras, increasing from 21.1770.
International main Brent crude sold at USD92.29 a barrel at 10.03 AM regional time (0703 GMT) for a 0.59 percent decline from the ending price of USD92.84 per barrel in the prior exchange session.
American main West Texas Intermediate (WTI) exchanged at USD86.11 a barrel at the same time for a 0.78 percent decline after the prior session ended at USD86.79 per barrel.
