Turkey’s Borsa Istanbul decreases more than 5 percent at Monday’s end
(MENAFN) Turkey’s main stock index closed Monday’s session at 3,199.54 points, declining 5.26 percent from Friday's end.
Opening the week at 3,378.87 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index falls 177.79 points from the prior end.
The index's worst value throughout the day stood at 3,199.54, whereas its day-to-day peak reached 3,393.66.
The overall market value of the BIST 100 was about 2.57 trillion Turkish liras (USD140.9 billion) by market end, with a day-to-day exchange volume of 53.8 billion Turkish liras (USD2.94 billion).
Throughout the day, nine shares on the index jumped, 89 declined and two were unaffected in comparison with the prior end.
International main Brent crude sold at USD91.30 a barrel at 09.26 AM regional time (0626 GMT) for a 0.05 percent decline from the ending price of USD91.35 per barrel in the prior exchange session.
American main West Texas Intermediate (WTI) sold at USD84.19 a barrel at the same time for a 0.67 percent decrease after the prior session ended at USD84.76 per barrel.
