Iranian, Qatari transport ministers meet to grow ties among nations
(MENAFN) Throughout a gathering among Iranian and Qatari transport ministers in the capital of Iran on Tuesday, the two parties highlighted the need for the growth of ties among the two nations in sea and air transportation in addition to global transit.
In this gathering, Iran’s Transport Minister Rostam Qasemi highlighted the presence of several collaboration prospects for Iran and Qatar, and assured that the creation of a mutual office among the two nations for collaboration in the area of transportation.
Qatar’s Minister of Transport Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti, for his part, mentioned that the ties among the two nations are profound, and considered the construction of a mutual office offered by the Iranian minister as important for the growth of these ties.
Previously on the 6th of June, Iran and Qatar signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the end of the two nations’ eighth mutual Economic Committee gathering in Doha to highlight paths for future collaboration.
