TASI closes Wednesday’s session on lower note ahead of Fed rate decision
(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia’s benchmark index declined in expectation of additional big rate rise by the Federal Reserve on Wednesday.
The Tadawul All Share Index decreased 0.37 percent to close at 11,461, whereas the similar market Nomu surged 0.23 percent at 20,265
Saudi oil giant Aramco closed the day with a 0.55 percent decrease, whereas Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Co. shed by 2.79 percent.
The Saudi National Bank, the nation’s biggest lender, fell 0.63 percent, whereas Saudi British Bank plummeted 1.04 percent.
The nation’s biggest esteemed bank Al Rajhi Bank was 1.68 percent higher, whereas Alinma Bank gained 0.68 percent.
Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance Co. soared 6.59 percent to top the earners, after it obtained acceptance from the Capital Market Authority to cut its capital by SR50 million (USD13 million) to SR100 million (USD26 million).
Saudi Fisheries Co. dropped 1.82 percent, after inking a non-binding deal with Oman Fish Co. for the goal of reinforcement collaboration in fisheries and fish farming.
