    Iran loans more than USD254M to SMEs, semi-completed ventures v

    (MENAFN) Iran’s Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade’s data indicate that 73.025 trillion rials (nearly USD254.4 million) has been compensated to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as semi-finished industrial ventures with a higher than 60 percent structural advancement throughout the opening five months of the present Iranian calendar year (March 21-August 22).

    The stated facilities, which are supplied for renewing machinery, equipping output units, or finishing semi-completed ventures, have been compensated in the form of bank loans to 1,206 ventures and output units, IRNA mentioned in a report.

    The plan for proposing bank facilities to SMEs and semi-completed ventures was kicked off in February 3 years ago by the Industry Ministry in cooperation with the Central Bank of Iran (CBI), and since then more than 7,542 output units and SMEs have recorded for obtaining the stated loans.

    According to the stated plan, 201.299 trillion rials of facilities (nearly USD701.39 million) were prepared be paid to SMEs and semi-completed ventures to back local output and maintain or produce employment opportunities of which thus far 110.4 trillion rials (nearly USD384.6 million) has been compensated.
