Iran sees 19.8 percent surge in coal concentrate production in first 5 months YoY
(MENAFN) Manufacture of coal concentrate in Iran surged to 19.8 percent in the opening five months of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (March 21-August 22), in comparison to the same span of time in the last year, based on the data issued by Industry, Mining and Trade Ministry.
The ministry’s figures put the nation’s five-month coal concentrate production at 817,100 tons.
Because of the unusual situations of coal mines in Iran, these mines are forced to tax exemption and any miners who require mining machinery can benefit from the services and tax exemption in this area to import their needed machinery.
The nation's average yearly coal concentrate output is around 1.5 million tons, whereas the nation’s present request has reached over two million tons.
At the meantime, Iran’s coal industry supplies jobs for 17,000 people, however, the volume of the nation’s coal mines is much higher than this amount, and the improvement of the mining industry and modernization ventures can play an impactful part in surging employment in this area.
