    7.3M travelers flew through Turkish Airlines last month rising 8 percent from pre-pandemic

    (MENAFN) 7.3 million travelers flew via Turkish Airlines last month, indicating a surge of 8 percent from the pre-pandemic time span, Turkey’s national flag carrier announced on Friday.

    The figure of travelers was higher from 6.7 million in the same month 3 years ago (2019) -- the pre-epidemic period, as stated by an announcement sent to Turkey’s Public Disclosure Platform.

    The travelers load aspect, or seat use, jumped to 85.4 percent -- 86.1 percent on local flights as well as 82.5 percent on worldwide flights. The amount stood at 82.9 percent in the stated month 2019.

    The capacity of cargo and mail it carried increased by 7.6 percent to 144,983 tons in the same time span.

    By the end of last month, the amount of aircraft in the airline stood at 390, the announcement also mentioned.

    In the first 9 months of this year, the airline flew 53.9 million travelers, decreasing from 56.4 million in the same 9 months 3 years ago (2019).
