    Saudi Arabia launches water ventures in Northern Borders district valued at USD503M

    (MENAFN) Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has started 15 water and environmental ventures valued at SR1.9 billion (USD503 million) in the Norther Borders area, the Saudi Press Agency mentioned in a report released on Sunday.

    Overall, 13 ventures are going to be carried out by the National Water Co., Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman Al-Fadli stated at the inaugural ceremony.

    He mentioned that the firm also launched two ventures to grow the coverage of water facilities via the establishment of operational water tanks with an overall volume of 6,000 cubic meters, the addition of over 105 km of carrier and major lines as well as sub-networks, and launching of over 2,200 local water links to serve at least 21,700 additional beneficiaries in Al-Dahiya, Al-Mubarakiya, Al-Jawhara and Al-Rawabi areas in the city of Arar, at an expanse of over SR38 million (nearly USD10.1 million).

    Al-Fadli stated that over 50 ventures are being arranged in the district at an expense of more than SR2.1 billion (around USD558.6 million).
