Iran producing 88,000MW electricity benefits SCO nations
(MENAFN) The Deputy Minister of Energy for Electricity and Energy Affairs stated that producing 88,000 megawatts (MW) of electricity by the Islamic Republic of Iran is an improvement that the nation brings for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
The presence of over 88,000-MW electricity volume in the nation is an advantage for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Homayoon Haeri mentioned on Tuesday, as reported by Mehr News Agency.
He stated that the great potential of Iran’s electricity grid both in terms of manufacture as well as internal electricity networks is an adequate situation for the presence of Iran in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Turning to the creation of power plants, Haeri noted that Iran appreciates high potential as well as abilities in the building of power plants which can be very impactful in exchanging energy with the SCO’s member states.
Previously, Iranian Minister of Energy Ali Akbar Mehrabian had asserted that trading electricity with the SCO member states is going to be put on the top of the agenda, also mentioned that Iran has currently created electricity exchange with some of the SCO member states.
