(MENAFN) The worth of shipments from Qazvin district surged 49 percent in the opening six months of the present Iranian calendar year (March 21- September 22), in comparison with the same span of time in the prior year, a provincial official declared.
Reza Nikravesh, the director-general of the province’s customs department, mentioned that 483,000 tons of goods valued at USD346 million were shipped from Qazvin in the opening six months of the current year, marking 28 percent rise in terms of mass as well.
He labelled ribbed rebar, petroleum oils, copper wire, washing and cleaning materials as well as steel sheets as the main shipped products in the stated time span.
Mentioning that Qazvin province ships outputs to 59 nations, Nikravesh pointed out: “Iraq, Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan and the UAE are the five main export destinations of Qazvin province's products in the present year, among them Iraq is considered the biggest export destination of goods of the province, as 33 percent of the products were exported to this country.”
