Saudi Arabia inks MOU with South Africa to grow relations in IT sectors
(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has inked a memorandum of collaboration with South Africa’s Department of Communications and Digital Technologies to grow expansion in the sectors of communications as well as information technology.
The signed memorandum of cooperation also targets to reach technical improvement and growth in the data and communication areas markets in the two nations, as reported by Saudi Press Agency.
In line with the report, the memorandum was inked by Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Communications as well as Information Technology, Abdullah Amer Al-Sawah in addition to Minister of Transport of South Africa, Fikile Mbalula, on the offshoots of the Saudi-South African Investment Plan in Jeddah.
As a part of the agreement, both nations are going to put efforts jointly in several sectors which consist of education, health, e-government, tourism, smart cities, fixed and wireless broadband, IP networks and data centers, internet applications as well as wireless services, counting in satellite communications.
