Borsa Istanbul opens Wednesday’s session on higher note
(MENAFN) Turkey’s main share index started at 3,997.96 points on Wednesday, rising 0.58 percent, or 22.95 points, from the prior end.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index declined 0.06 percent to end Tuesday at 3,975.01 points, with a day to day exchange volume of 83 billion Turkish liras (USD4.46 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira selling level stood at 18.6104 at 10 AM regional time (0700GMT), the euro/Turkish lira selling price stood at 18.5761, and a British pound exchanged for 21.3640 Turkish liras.
International benchmark Brent crude exchanged at USD90.97 a barrel as of 09.54 AM regional time (0654 GMT) for a 0.84 percent decline from the ending price of USD91.74 per barrel in the prior exchange session.
American benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) sold at USD84.79 a barrel at the same time for a 0.62 percent decrease after the prior session ended at USD85.32 per barrel, whereas the price of an ounce of gold stood at USD1,669.30.
