UAE, US ink USD100 billion clean energy cooperation
(MENAFN) The United Arab Emirates (UAE) as well as the US inked a cooperation to collect USD100 billion of funds in clean energy ventures as well as surge 100 gigawatts of clean energy internationally with the next 13 years, as reported by state news agency WAM on Tuesday.
The cooperation was accepted throughout the ADIPEC 2022 Exhibition & Conference in the capital of Emirate where more than 1,200 international policy makers, energy chief executive as well as industry professionals arranged to talk about key trends shaping the future of energy.
The nations are going to cooperate to back financially and environmentally useful maintainable energy ventures in improving nations by supplying technical expertise, ventures management assistance as well as investing.
“Together, we will spur large-scale investment in new energy technologies, in our own countries, around the world and in emerging economies,” US energy ambassador Amos Hochstein mentioned in an announcement in WAM.
“The energy transition needs a realistic, practical and economically viable plan to deliver climate progress together with energy security and inclusive economic growth,” Sultan Al Jaber, UAE minister of Industry as well as improved Technology and Special ambassador for Climate Change, asserted in the announcement.
