    Iran sees 60 percent jump in non-oil shipment from Bushehr province

    (MENAFN) A provincial official declared that the worth of non-oil shipment from Bushehr province, in the southwest of Iran, increased 60 percent in the opening seven months of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (March 21-October 22), in comparison with the same span of time in the last year.

    Ali Soleymani, the director-general of Bushehr Customs Department, noted that 16.838 million tons of commodities valued at USD8.686 billion were shipped from the district in the opening seven months of the last year, presenting 10 percent increase in terms of mass on annual basis.

    He stated that petrochemical and mineral outputs, fishery and vegetables as the major shipped items while China, United Arab Emirates, India, South Africa, Turkey, Pakistan, Sudan, Nigeria, Mozambique as well as Thailand were the main destinations for the shipments.

    One of the key volumes of the coastal district of Bushehr on the verge of the Persian Gulf is maritime exchange and financial connection with other nations.
