    Egypt aims to build USD11B wind project by end of decade

    (MENAFN) One of the glob’s biggest wind farms being established in Egypt is preparing to become functioning by the start off the next decade (2030) with buildings arranged to start two years from now (2024), as shown by Infinity Power, one of the key firms supporting the venture.

    The USD11 billion wind farm is being created by a consortium directed by Abu Dhabi-owned Masdar as well as Infinity Power Holdings, and upon finishing point, the venture might supply electricity to Saudi Arabia and Europe, as reported by Bloomberg.

    Mohamed Mansour, chairman of Infinity Power, stated that the venture is going to have a production volume of 10 gigawatts and is going to become functioning by the start of the next decade (2030).

    Mansour additionally mentioned that the consortium, which also contains Egypt’s Hassan Allam Utilities, is seeking to obtain land for the venture in 2022, mainly at two sites in the north African Nation’s Western Desert – one close to Minya while the other is in Aswan.
