Egyptian startup SIDEUP secures USD1.2M as it repositions head office to Saudi Arabia
(MENAFN) Cairo-located e-commerce facilities provider SIDEUP collected USD1.2 million in a seed investment phase to start functioning in Saudi Arabia.
Launched 3 years ago (2019), the firm supplies e-commerce businesses with several technological answers to allow integrations, companies as well as payments to scale revenue.
In an exclusive meeting with Arab News, Waleed Rashed, chief executive and founder at SIDEUP, mentioned that the firm is transferring its head office to Saudi Arabia with framework to hire as well as grow its team.
“We have already opened up roles in the Kingdom, by next month we will have added 10 people to our on-ground team in Riyadh which will amount to almost 30 percent of our total employee base,” he informed Arab News.
He asserted that “The e-commerce sector in Saudi Arabia is going to grow exponentially. The Kingdom is also going to be our gateway to the rest of the Gulf Cooperation Council as we plan our entry into new markets.”
