    Dubai reveals USD8.7tn economic plan to double its economy within next decade

    (MENAFN) Dubai released a new 32 trillion dirhams (nearly USD8.7 trillion) financial plan on Wednesday with aims to surge exchange and funds throughout the upcoming decade as it seeks to double the extent of the emirate's economy.

    Also named as D33, the fresh plan involves as many as 100 transformative ventures in Dubai as the administration wants to place the emirate between the leading three financial towns across the whole world.

    "We have more than 300,000 investors in Dubai and I invite everyone to join our journey to be one of the fastest growing cities in the world," Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, vice leader as well as premier of the UAE and leader of Dubai stated in a tweet.

    Under the agenda, foreign exchange is aimed to reach an amount of 25.6 trillion dirhams during the next decade, surging from 14.2 trillion dirhams in the last 10 years.
