(MENAFN) Uranium and titanium have been found in “significant quantities” in Saudi Arabia, as stated by the nation’s energy minister as he reveals the administration’s strategies to be a worldwide leader in the mining industry.
While giving a speech at the Future Minerals Forum in Riyadh, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman addressed the growth of Saudi Arabia’s mission in improving renewable energy, in addition to the nation’s determination to become a worldwide center for green metal sectors which is going to lead to additional funds in the industry.
He also asserted that the nation has great quantity of metals and minerals currently in massive request in the world and is improving the structure and cooperation that can exploit them to the highest advantage.
“Recent explorations of activities showed a diverse portfolio of uranium in different geological locations within the Kingdom such as Jabal Saeed, Madinah, Jabal Qariah in the north,” according to the minister.
He continued: “Along with uranium, rare minerals such as titanium have been identified in significant quantities in the Kingdom, unlocking even greater investment opportunities.”
