    Saudi minister holds meeting with UK counterpart to cooperate in hydrogen, renewable energy sectors

    (MENAFN) Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman hosted a gathering with British Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Grant Shapps in the Kingdom’s capital, Riyadh, on Thursday.

    The two nations talked about the openings for two-sided collaboration in many energy sectors, as well as upcoming chances in the field via a memorandum of collaboration that was inked by the administration of both countries, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.

    The two ministers “discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of clean hydrogen, the development and localization of technologies related to carbon capture, transportation and storage, the exchange of expertise, and the development of relevant regulations and policies,” it also mentioned in the report.

    They also talked about reinforcing collaboration in renewable energy, petrochemicals, power stations, as well as localizing components of the energy field.

    Prince Abdulaziz as well as Shapps voiced their hope that firms from the two nations would contribute in applying several ventures.

    The gathering was hosted on the offshoots of the Future Minerals Forum, which is being hosted in Riyadh, from the 10th of January up to the 12th.
