Jeddah Port establishes additional shipping connection from North America to Indian Ocean
(MENAFN) The Saudi Ports Authority has announced an additional exporting facility to its Jeddah Islamic Port as the nation moves forward with its plan to place the town as a main east-west center.
With the Indamex 2 exporting service in its network, nation’s busiest port is going to permit access to top exchange gateways via the Indian subcontinent and North America, such as Port Qasim in Pakistan, Mundra as well as Jawaharlal Nehru in India, and Norfolk, Charleston, on top of Savannah in the US.
This comes as Saudi Arabia is thriving forward to reinforce its worldwide maritime connectivity along with the targets of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy.
The initial sailing on the additional facility, which is mutually functioned by worldwide container liners Hapag-Lloyd and CMA CGM, left the Red Sea port on the 11th of January on board MV. SWANSEA V. 006W ship with a carrying volume of 4600-6966 twenty-foot equivalent unit.
