Iran’s renewable power plants volume amounts to 1,020 MW

(MENAFN) The volume of Iran's renewable power plants amounted to 1,020 megawatts (MW) with the 10-MW Pasargad Solar Farm of Damghan going into action, chief of Iran's Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization (SATBA) Mahmoud Kamani declared.

Voicing his comments on the offshoots of inaugurating the stated solar farms in Damghan District, in central Semnan area, Kamani asserted that “This power plant has a special feature as it can generate electricity from the reflection of sunlight. This feature makes its generation efficiency higher, which means it will have a 40-percent increase in efficiency.”

“It is hoped that by setting up other renewable power plants, we will soon be able to implement the 10,000-MW renewable power plant program”, the chief of SATBA underlined.

Iranian Energy Ministry has added it on the plan to establish an additional 10,000 MW to the volume of the nation’s renewable power plants by the end of the present government’s direction (August 2025).
