Saudi Arabia puts all efforts to become worldwide logistics center
(MENAFN) When Saudi Arabia started its National Transport and Logistics Strategy two years ago targeted at placing the nation as a worldwide logistics center linking three continents, some doubters were unsure around how the nation was going to achieve this ambitious dream.
But currently, after 18 months, their fears have been calmed as the advancement reached in Saudi Arabia’s logistics industry signifies that the administration, spearheaded by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, is moving in the right direction to make the nation a pivotal center in the worldwide logistics map.
For Saudi Arabia, developing its logistics efficiency is highly important as it is unavoidable to reinforce the nation’s provision chain, which in turn is vital to reaching the financial diversification targets highlighted in Vision 2030.
The expansion of the logistics industry in Saudi Arabia is triggered by a host of game-changing initiatives ruled by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Logistics and Transport, the Saudi Ports Authority, also recognized as Mawani, as well as the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program.
