    Iran’s shipment to U.S. surge nine-fold last year

    (MENAFN) The worth of Iran’s export to the U.S. surged by nine-fold last year, IRNA mentioned in a report quoting the most recent statistics issued by the American Statistical Association (ASA).

    In line with the ASA figures, the Islamic Republic shipped USD11.2 million value of goods to the U.S. in the last year, recording a nine-fold rise in comparison with the year before (2021). Iran shipped goods with the worth of just USD1.2 million to the U.S. in 2021.

    The worth of exchange among Iran and the U.S. jumped to USD56.7 million this year, 40 percent higher than the amount for the prior year, according to the ASA data.

    In line with the stated data, the exchange among the two nations reached USD40.5 million in 2021.

    The ASA data indicate that the worth of U.S. shipments to Iran also rose 16 percent to USD45.5 million during last year, from USD39.3 million in the year before.

    Iran was listed 175th between U.S. shipment destinations in 2021 and 172nd between the nation’s leading import sources.
