Saudi Ministry of Tourism operates to surge amount of pilgrims before Ramadan
(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Tourism is operating on strategies to increase the amount of pilgrims in Makkah and Madinah to reach the surging request for housing throughout the Ramadan holy month.
The Kingdom’s Tourism Minister Ahmed Al-Khatib, on his Twitter page, stated that the ministry is preparing to function an extra 9,000 hotel rooms in Madinah amid the month of Ramadan.
“I met with businessmen and operators of the hospitality sector in Madinah, and we were briefed on the readiness of the city’s hotels to receive visitors and Umrah performers in the Ramadan season,” as stated by Al-Khatib.
Last year, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah presented facilities to seven million Umrah travelers counting in four million worshipers with Umrah visas.
In the same year the nation for the initial time permitted people who had a tourist visa to the nation to complete Umrah throughout their visit in the nation.
