Jordanian minister, Canadian Senate speaker talk about financial, investment relations
(MENAFN) Jordan’s Investment Minister, Kholoud Saqqaf, as well as Canadian Senate Speaker George Furey talked about financial and funding relations throughout a gathering in the Jordanian capital, Amman, on Friday.
Saqqaf stated that deals inked among the two nations are going to play a massive part in “revitalising” mutual exchange and improving collaboration, given Canada’s specialty in financial improvement and investment, as reported by Jordan’s News Agency.
The minister asserted that the “many” deals inked among Jordan and Canada involved a free exchange agreement, the initial to be inked by Canada with an Arab nation, in addition to a double taxation prevention deal, and a protection and backing deal.
Canada is one of the aimed nations in an investment promotion plan set by the investment ministry for 2023-2026 to draw additional investment to Jordan, as stated by Saqqaf.
She continued: “The Jordanian government, under royal directives, seeks to make Jordan a destination for investments and has embarked on introducing many reforms to the business environment. A new law and bylaw for regulating the investment environment were approved within the best international practices.”
