(MENAFN) The 17th gathering of Iran and Turkmenistan’s mutual financial committee is going to be hosted in Ashgabat in the near future, as announced the portal of the Iranian government on Sunday.
The coordination gathering for the 17th Iran-Turkmenistan Joint Economic Committee gathering was hosted on Saturday with the attendance of officials from Iranian ministries and financials entities.
Deputy Transport Minister Shahriar Afandizadeh, Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Mahdi Safari, and leaders from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), the Central Bank of Iran (CBI), the Iran-Turkmenistan Joint Chamber of Commerce, in addition to Iran’s Free Zones High Council, were between the officials joining the gathering.
At the start of the gathering, a report on the history of Iran-Turkmenistan ties and prior deals, memorandums, and discussions among the two nations was presented.
Additionally, two-sided exchange prospects across four vital borders among Iran and Turkmenistan, mainly Sarakhs, Lotfabad, Incheh Borun, as well as Bajgiran were talked about and needs to ease border traffic were studied.
