Oji: Iran’s oil incomes surges by 2.5 times in early 2023

(MENAFN) Iranian Oil Minister Javad Oji stated that the nation has been capable of collecting up to 2.5 times additional oil incomes in the past Iranian calendar month (January 21-February 19) in comparison with the prior years, as reported by Shana.

“Fortunately, the revenues from the sale of oil [in the previous month] have been collected, and I can say that the revenues collected in the previous month are at least two to 2.5 times more than the previous years’ [same month],” Oji stated on Sunday.

The minister pointed out that the nation’s crude oil shipments have also been on an upward trajectory and is going to additionally rise in the future months in spite of the expanding pressure of the U.S. restrictions on the Iranian energy industry.

Oji stated that Iranian oil shipments amounted to vital levels in February after attempts by the nation to get around the restrictions and pump additional oil to markets in East Asia.

“Iran’s oil sales over the last month (February) were considerable despite the sanctions and they are expected to further increase in the coming months,” the minister pointed out.
