QSTP Hosts XLR8 Demo Day for Top Innovators, Startups

(MENAFN) Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP), a member of Qatar Foundation (QF), recently hosted its cycle 13 flagship program XLR8 Demo Day, where top innovators and startups demonstrated their innovative solutions to modern-day problems. The event provided a platform for these innovators to showcase their latest technologies to judges and attendees, enabling them to explore more opportunities with the startup firms.

During the event, eight representatives from different companies presented their innovative ideas and provided plausible solutions to various issues faced by the community. These included 'Darbi,' a one-stop-shop providing high school students with informed decisions about next steps, 'Samples Yard,' a digital sampling platform that connects architects and interior designers with architectural material manufacturers on a single platform, and 'Blend-Stocks,' an innovative software solution that helps crude oil refineries automate large-scale blend scheduling, maximize resource utilization and minimize costs.

Other startups that presented their solutions included 'Roomy,' an application that allows individuals to choose roommates based on their unique preferences, including religion and gender, 'Resp O2,' a clean breathing solution offering powered air purification, especially for asthma patients, 'Saha,' a platform to keep track of people's medical records, 'Cloud Receipt,' another platform to save all receipts on their device, eliminating the need to carry printed receipts, and 'Pulsate,' a solution for those affected by hypertension.

The event commenced with an opening remark by QSTP Program Manager, Acceleration Mohammed Zebian. Blend-Stocks, Samples Yard, and Darbi were declared as the top 3 winners at the event. This recognition highlights the innovative solutions that these startups have developed and their potential to make a significant impact on society.
