National Housing Movement Plan Shows Progress in Tehran Province
(MENAFN) The National Housing Movement plan has achieved 50 percent progress in Damavand county, Tehran province, according to Khalil Mohabbat-Khah, the director-general of the province's Transport and Urban Development Department. The National Housing Movement aims to construct four million housing units in four years, with 3.2 million units to be built in cities and 800,000 in villages. The plan is one of the major initiatives of the current Iranian government in the housing sector.
In mid-February, Mohabbat-Khah had stated that the speed of implementation of projects in the National Housing Movement of Tehran province is high. He further added that the speed of implementation of projects in the National Housing Movement in different cities of Tehran province is very good, with the physical progress in the cities of Robat-Karim, Shahriyar, Eslamshahr, and Damavand being about 20-30 percent.
The cooperation of builders and contractors has been excellent in the implementation of these projects, according to Mohabbat-Khah. The progress of these projects has been good so far, which has motivated applicants to pay the required fund.
Transport and Urban Development Minister Mehrdad Bazrpash announced two weeks ago that lands have been given to 136,000 applicants for the construction of National Housing Movement units. The construction of some of these units is currently underway after providing lands and preparing the necessary conditions.
The National Housing Movement plan is an ambitious initiative that aims to address the housing shortage in Iran. The plan includes the construction of affordable housing units for low-income families, as well as infrastructure development in underserved areas. The government has prioritized the implementation of this plan and has set aggressive targets for the construction of housing units in both urban and rural areas.
The National Housing Movement plan is significant for Iran's economy, as it will create job opportunities in the construction sector and boost economic growth. The successful implementation of this plan will also improve the quality of life for millions of Iranians who are struggling to find affordable housing in the country's major cities. The progress of the National Housing Movement plan in Tehran province is a positive development, and the government's commitment to this initiative is expected to yield significant benefits in the years ahead.
