    Gross external debt stock in Turkey totals USD433.9 billion

    (MENAFN) According to the Treasury and Finance Ministry on Tuesday, Turkey's gross external debt stock amounted USD433.9 billion at the end of September; the ministry said in a statement that, the figure represented 59.1 percent of the country's gross domestic product (GDP).


    Turkey's net foreign debt totaled to USD247.6 billion as of Sept. 30, accounting for 33.7 percent of its GDP.


    As said by the ministry, "treasury guaranteed external debt stock has been $14.4 billion as of 30 September".


    EU-defined general government debt stock was almost USD233.6 billion, or 32.1 percent of GDP at the end of the month, according to the data; the public net debt stock arrived at USD113.8 billion or 15.7 percent of GDP in the same period.
