    1.136 million barrels of Iraqi crude oil pass through JPR in 2019

    (MENAFN) According to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, in 2019, 1.136 million barrels of Iraqi crude oil passed all the way through the Jordan Petroleum Refinery (JPR).


    Since Iraq started supplying the Kingdom with oil last September, 1,430 tankers carried crude oil by land to the JPR facility in Zarqa as said in a statement by Minister Hala Zawati.


    According to a deal signed in February 2019, Jordan purchases Iraq's Kirkuk oil at an average of 10,000 barrels a day at benchmark crude Brent costs minus transport costs and deviations in standards.


    This only achieves a part of Jordan's yearly requirements of crude oil.
