    Turkey's benchmark stock index increase 1.06 percent

    (MENAFN) On Tuesday, benchmark stock index of Turkey increased by 1.06 percent, or 1,181.30 points at 112,594.00 points.


    Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index decreased 2 percent to close at 111.412,70 with a daily trading volume of USD1.8 billion, on Monday's close.


    On Tuesday, the U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate decreased from 5.9740 at Monday's close to arrive at 5.9610 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT).


    The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate saw 6.6690, next to 6.6860, and one British pound traded for 7.8600 Turkish liras, after it was 7.8720 at the last close.
