Low oil prices as tensions settled down in Middle East

    (MENAFN)

As a result of the stability of tensions between Iran and the U.S., Crude oil prices opened on a decline in early trading on Friday, causing the risk of secure supply from the region to be reduced.

After ending Thursday at $65.34 a barrel with a 0.15% daily decline, international standard Brent crude was trading at $65.28 per barrel at 0640 for a 0.1% loss.

Meantime, American benchmark West Texas Intermediate arrived at $59.45 a barrel with a 0.12% decline, after a loss at the earlier session by a daily loss of 0.15% arriving at $59.52 per barrel.

Owing to the U.S. airstrike of Jan.3 that have targeted General Qasem Soliemani, the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps' Quds Force, Crude oil prices have declined from their recorded level of the mentioned-above date.
