    Turkey's unemployment set at 13.4 per cent in Oct.2019

    Turkey's statistical authority stated on Friday that the unemployment of the country in October 2019 set at 13.4 per cent.

    Based on the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), a year-on-year rise of 1.8% was shown through the October figure.

    The institute also declared "the number of unemployed persons aged 15+ increased by 608,000 to 4.39 million persons in the period of October 2019 in Turkey compared with the same period of the previous year."

    Non-farm unemployment was 15.7%, an annual increase of a 2.1 percentage point.
    During the same period, the youth unemployment rate of 15-24 years increased by 3 percentage points to 25.3%
