Libya's income in 2019 drop by 8.4 percent from 2018

(MENAFN) In comparison with 2018, Libya's income in 2019 decreased by 8.4 percent because of war and oil price decrease, as said on Tuesday by the Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) controlled by the UN-backed government.

According to a statement by NOC, "the income in 2019 was about 22.5 billion dollars, and these figures reflect a drop in the oil price"; the key source of profits of Libya, the oil sector, has suffered from the armed attacks on oil fields and ports by the eastern-based army.

The UN-backed government has been engaged in fatal armed attacks in and around the capital Tripoli against the eastern-based army since early April of 2019, which has been trying to conquest the city and bring down the UN-backed government.
