    Jordan: 2020 state budget authorized

    (MENAFN) According to the state-run Petra news agency, on Monday, Jordan's Senate authorized the 2020 state budget draft law with a shortage of about USD1.7 billion.


    The 2020 state budget estimates an increase in domestic profits to some 7.75 billion dinars, registering a climb of 10.4 percent in comparison with 2019, as said by the Senate.


    Foreign grants are estimated to arrive at 807 million dinars in 2020; the government and all authorities are working in an integrated manner to make a budget that meets Jordan's opportunities and challenges, Prime Minister Omar Razzaz said.


    The government is in deliberations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a new economic program created to keep Jordan's economic expansion momentum and financial steadiness, as said by Finance Minister Mohamad Al-Ississ.
